Jake has finally gotten his glasses! He was so excited to go in and get them, but a little wary too. I kept trying to explain that they would help him see better and fix his eye. I kept getting the response, "nothing is going to fix my eye".
Then I asked if he could see things better and he says, "mommy, everything has pieces, I can see pieces" Meaning details.
Some other noteworthy changes in Jake:
For the first time ever yesterday, Jake sat on the couch to watch a movie instead of laying right in front of the T.V.
When Jake came home from school, he had much more to talk about when I asked what they learned today.
When Jake is looking for something that is right in front of him, he sees it instead of me having to tell him where it is, walk over and point to it, and eventually pick it up for him.
His coloring has improved as well. I just thought he was a lazy colorer, but nope, he just couldn't get the lines to focus enough to know where they were.
He's been so great about keeping them on all day, I guess it shows how much better his sight is now, because we have to remind him to take them off before bed!

Yay for pieces! I'm excited to get a new prescription this week so Jakey and I will be in the same boat! He looks so handsome in his glasses too.

I remember my first pair of glasses in the 6th grade. I was amazed I could see individual leaves on the trees.
He is too cute! He looks just like his dad.
He is even more handsome with his new glasses, he looks very sophisticated. I was excited to see him in primary with his "new smooth look." Now he looks a lot like his daddy.
