Memorial Weekend pictures

Okay, so here is the "after" pictures of a long, crazy night full of laughing and previously unknown information.....right Keesh?
We decided it was really stupid to let two little boys have the bed, and us sleep on the couch and air mattresses, so we moved them in the middle of the night to the couch.

Growin like weeds!

Well, Jake is 4 now and I'm feeling sad that instead of a toddler and a baby, or a kid and a toddler, I now have 2 kids. They are growing so fast, we just can't keep up with them anymore! Jake celebrated his birthday in a whole weekend worth of fun, started out by our memorial day "campout" at Glenn and Kecia's. Our actual campout got rained, or rather, snowed out, so we decided to make do with a sleepover, complete with marshmellows around the fireplace and stories. We learned that Jake can make up the coolest additions to our "chain storytelling". We were exhausted the next day, but it was the most laughing I've done in a long time!

Sunday we had a family party for Jake, he requested breakfast for his birthday dinner, so we had stuffed french toast and bacon. He was thrilled, it wasn't quite what I had in mind....

Yesterday we had his birthday with friends at Classic Skating in the bounce zone. The kids loved it! So did I, no clean up for me and the kids were so worn out by pizza and cake time, they just sat politely!

All in all, it was a great birthday weekend for Jake, he loves his presents, but the one he loves the most is his bubblegum machine Tyler got him, Just a cheap little toy. Next year I think we'll just give him gum refills, instead of spending a day trying to find a great toy!

Happy Mother's Day to ME!!!!!!

Proof indeed that I have the best husband in the world, Brian presented me with the thing I have coveted the most, a new cordless drill. With 12 volts, removable battery, rotating head, for those hard to reach places, and easy bit loading. I'm so excited!!!! I've been wanting a new drill forever, and it's finally mine! Talk about a secure man, to buy his wife a drill for mothers day.

A new arrival....

Abby the cat joined us today, Sunday, after much deliberation about the stupidity of getting a cat.
She has been so cute to watch, and she is so cute with the kids, very gentle and loving, yet very playful.
She taught this paper a lesson! It had the nerve to wave in the air when she was walking by! As I'm writing this, she came in and mewed to get up on my lap, so I let her and now she's alseep on my lap while I type. She is so cute!
Very playful too! It is actually pretty funny how we came to get a black cat. usually very allergic to black cats, like, can't breathe, eyes red, itchy, watery for days after contact with black cats. But I have no problem with orange cats, since we lived with Willy the cat in Bellingham. Well, we started to look for a cat that was orange, and the first one we looked at, was a freak! He wouldn't even come out to see us and scratched me so bad, I think I have an infection! Plus the house he came from was dirty and gross, so we didn't want that cat, which was a shame, since we drove and hour and fourty five minutes to see it, and the same home. Then the kids were at my parents, and my dad realized the neighbors had kittens they were giving away for free. So they went to look, they had no orange cats. I went by later to take a look, not thinking I would get one, but she pointed out a little tiny black girl kitty that didn't have a home yet and I fell in love! I held her, and rubbed her fur by my face to see what would happen, and nothing did! So, we went back today and got her. She has already been a nice addition to the family!

Misc. Disney

You can't see it well, but this is me and Jake in the car. The first day, we bribed Jake with cotton candy to get out of the really long car ride line. We told him we'd come back the next day. So here we are. It was actually worth the wait, it was really fun, although I was glad not to be in Tyler's car, since he was tall enough to be the driver, I would have been too car sick to last the rest of the day!
Here's Jake on the jungle cruise. He loved this one. There is a part when piranas jump out of the water at you, and Jake jumped about a mile. I think he was pretty convinced the wild life was real!
Here we are waiting for the Nemo, underwater sub ride. It was so cool! And very popular, we got to the part before the doors opened, and we had to run to get in line and still had to wait 20 minutes. It was definatly worth the wait. About an hour after we got off, the line was 90 minutes long. I'm glad we ran!
This is actually pretty funny, Tyler was eating his ice cream slow, and it fell down in the cone. Well, being 6 and not knowing much about the ways of ice cream, since we are cheap and never let him have a cone this big any time but Disneyland, he was not understanding what was going on with his ice cream disappearing. At this moment, he was looking for it on the ground, because Brian had said, "you need to eat faster because the ice cream fell down" (meaning into the cone) we could not convince Tyler that it wasn't on the ground, he looked all over for that ice cream, finally I think he got what we were saying, but it was so cute watching him look all over for that ice cream!
This is the inside of the Nemo sub, we each had our own little porthole to look out of. It was definatly one of my favorite rides!

Disneyland 5, The end of a long day

Here are the prince charmings, waiting for the princess to take another blasted photo! Jake was fading fast, sleep wise, he was in very good temper the whole time, but we knew he was very tired!
Here's me and the boys, I just had to have one of me in front of the castle!
Okay, for those of you who know Jake, CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!!!!! Yes, folks, he is dead asleep, in my arms, at 9:30pm!!! Only Disneyland could get Mr.-stay-up-all-night-and-sleep-nowhere-but-my-bed to fall asleep in my arms. This was taken in the middle of the park, so for those of you who haven't been lately, this meant I had to walk 15 minutes to get to the tram, ride the tram, and another 15-20 minutes to the car. Needless to say, I was grateful to be stronger from working out, and incredibly exhausted! He was just so sweet, I couldn't put him down. And this moment will never happen again, so I decided to just live in the moment!
