Well we decided to go all out on our gingerbread house this year. Here it is! This masterpiece took us close to 23 hours all together. And yes those are stairs going up to the door! This is the view from the back. Not to shabby for amateurs huh?
Yeah right! Just kidding! This is one of the beautiful houses we saw at the annual Gingerbread house festival this year! We had a blast seeing the creativity of people with too much time on their hands and no small animals and people around their house to destroy things!
I really liked these bird houses. We didn't get too many pictures of the houses because Tyler wanted to be the photographer and he doesn't take pictures like Jake does so they turned out less than useable.

They had gingerbread cookies with frosting and candy for kids to decorate, here's Ty. I think he had more candy in his cheeks than on his cookie!

I was just about to say, "Are you freakin' kidding me! She made that!" I mean, I know you're into making all the holiday treats and all...but whose got that kind of time, much less skill set?
What a fun exhibit. Cute family.
What a great event to go with the family. I love your photos. And I don't blame Tyler with the candy, I'd do the same thing. Jake is such a cutie not wanting to eat his cookie. You look so awesome, we've got to get together.
Fun pictures; you had Jon and I fooled for a moment, we were thinking how in the world did they find time for 23hours of gingerbread house making! It's pretty amazing what people can come up with.
I know! Aren't they just amazing? There was an "under the sea" theme that was done by the women's prison innmates. It was all made with marzipan and fondant. It was amazing! I wish our picutres had turned out.
